Perry, GA – Mrs. Annie Louise Bass, 74, met her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ face to face on Monday, April 3, 2017 after a fierce battle with cancer. Mrs. Bass was a resident of Gatwick Senior Village in Perry, GA and a member of the Haynesville Church of God. Mrs. Bass or “Lou” as she was affectionately known was born in Waycross, GA in 1942 to the late Otis Waters and Mary Riggins Javins. As a young adult, Lou attended Roosevelt Warm Springs, a continuing education and development school for people with disabilities in Warm Springs, GA. There she met the love of her life and husband of almost 49 years, Mr. James Bass. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bass was preceded in death by her step-father: Harry Javins; brother: Ralph Javins; sisters: Sara Burnette and Judy Kopera. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, husband: James Bass; son Daniel Bass (Traci) of Perry, GA; grandchildren: Christopher Bass, Kristen Dale (Andrew) and Carol Davis (Travis); 3 great-grandchildren; sisters: Carol Fields and Diane White; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends whose lives she deeply touched. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 11:00 am at Haynesville Church of God, 313 Pitts Road, Haynesville, GA 31036.
