Joyce Annette Scott Obituary

Warner Robins- Joyce Annette Starnes Scott, 80, went home to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, June 22, 2017 with her loving family by her side. Services to celebrate her life will be held at a later date. The family has respectfully asked that in lieu of flowers, please make donations to Heart of Georgia Hospice, 1120 Morningside Drive, Perry Ga. 31069

Joyce was born in Atlanta Georgia to the late Charles Herman Starnes and Lizzie Mae Yancey Starnes. She retired from Wal-Mart as a Fabric and Crafts specialist. She was a faithful member of Bethel Baptist Church in Jonesboro Georgia. Joyce was a woman full of life who loved to quilt, read, create beautiful drawings, ceramics, bake delicious biscuits for all to enjoy, singing as an alto in her church choir, and completing cross word puzzles. However, what she loved to do the most was to spend time with her family, grandchildren, and her friends. She is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years Cecil H. Scott. She leaves behind to cherish her memories her daughter Lyn Gavel (Michael); Daughter-In-law: Reneé Scott; Grandchildren: Elizabeth, John IV, Kyle, Robin, Alexandria, Bradley, Sean, and Deirdre; Sister: Ruth Starnes; Brothers: Bobby, & David Starnes, and a whole host of family members and friends
