Kathleen, GA – William Andrew Collins, 19, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Thursday, February 13, 2020. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2020 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory. The services celebrating his life will be held on Sunday, February 16, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Church In The Park, 1305 Main St., Perry, GA 31069. Reverend Jordan Kersey and Reverend Herschel Standard will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Church In The Park, 1305 Main St., Perry, GA 31069 or to The Houston County Humane Society, 810 Carl Vinson Pkwy., Centerville, GA 31028 in Andrew’s honor. Andrew was born on January 30, 2001 in Macon, GA to the late William Burton Collins III and Pamela (Yeomans) Cato. He was a 2019 graduate of The Westfield School, where he excelled in sports, specifically football, and academics. He was the Valedictorian of the 2019 graduating class and was also named Star Student; he received many football awards and accolades and was currently attending the Georgia Institute of Technology studying biomedical engineering on an academic scholarship. Andrew was an avid University of Alabama fan, “Roll Tide” and was an active member at Church in The Park. In addition to his father, Andrew was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, William Burton Collins, Jr and Elizabeth Mathews Collins. Left to cherish his memory is his beloved parents, Pam (Yeomans) and Jonathan Cato of Kathleen, GA; sister: Anna Margarita Pierce (Richie) of Athens, GA; maternal grandmother: Sharon Darsey (Kenneth) of Perry, GA; maternal grandfather: Dale Rogers Yeomans of Ludowici, GA; maternal great-grandmother: Gretha Yeomans of Glennville, GA; step- grandmother: Loretta Cato of Sandersville, GA; aunts: Beth Fordham (Jay) of Macon, GA; Mary Hart Humble of Austin, TX; uncles: Jay Collins (Roya) of Marietta, GA, Carey Yeomans of Ludowici, GA and Johnny Humble of Kathleen, GA.
