Mr. Corrado “Dino” Salvemini, age 78 of Shimkets Drive, Dewy Rose, Ga., entered into eternal rest on Monday, December 23, 2019 at his home. He was born on April 14, 1941 in Molfetta, Italy to the late Franscesco Salvemini and Ottavia Salvemini. He was a retired electrician and served in the Italian Army. He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church where he served in the choir and was a member of Knights of Columbus. He is survived by: Wife Dorothy “Dotte” Salvemini; Children Rina Salvemini of Buffalo, N.Y., and Michelle (Daniel) Jackson of Lavonia, Ga.; Step-children Larry (Diane) Shimkets, Dee Wood, Marian (Flynn) Smith, Ken (Lori) Shimkets, Peggy Grosse, Evelyn Parker, Linda (Kenny) Buskirk, and Rick (Rebecca) Shimkets; Grandchildren Lyvia Proby, Gabriel Proby, Angelo Gerace, and Dominic Gerace; and Step-grandchild Natalie Jackson, and over thirty step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family will hold a Memorial Mass at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Hartwell, GA., on January 4, 2020 at 11:00 AM. Burial will be at the Shimkets Family Cemetery.
