Mr. James Elbert Floyd, age 57 of 140 Wesleyan Street, Lavonia, Ga., entered into rest at his home on Sunday, February 19, 2017. Born September 16, 1959 in Atlanta, Ga., he was the son of the late Ray T. Floyd and Carole Mauldin Kelley. He was in management in the food industry and of the baptist faith. He is survived by: step-dad, James Kelley aunts, Anne-Marie Mauldin, Lafayette, LA,and Joyce Mauldin Schane and her husband, Rev. Timothy Schane of TN, his cousin, Danielle Mauldin, Lafayette, LA, his uncle, Lamar Mauldin, Athens, Ga., cousin, Nicole Mauldin, Athens, Ga., along with many aunts, uncles and cousins in Ga., S.C., KY and TN. He was preceded in death by his parents, his maternal grandparents, Harold and Inez Mauldin, paternal grandparents, Elbert and Essie Floyd The family of James Floyd will hold a memorial service at a later date.
