Mrs. Sara Jean Brown Ankerich, age 86 of 591 Ankerich Road, Bowersville, Ga., went to be with the Lord on Sunday afternoon, December 31, 2017 at Hartwell Health Care Center surrounded by her family. Born July 3, 1931 in Hart County, she was the daughter of the late Martin T. Brown and Sabra Mae Turner Brown. She was retired from textiles and a member of Cross Roads Baptist Church. She is survived by: her daughters, Jolynn A. Wingard of Bowersville, Ga., and Pamela A. Cargile (Bill) of Gordo, AL, siblings, Patsy Carter (Cade) of Baton Rouge, LA and Homer D. Brown (Connie) of Elberton, Ga. sister in law , Bobbie Brown of Hartwell, Ga. Grandchildren, Lane W. Murray, Leah W. Paine (Lewis), Jamie C. Bell (Justin), Lindsey Cargile, great-grandchildren, Makenzie, Grayson, Savannah, Hayden, Madelyn and Evan. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Bobby Eugene Ankerich and brother, Harold T. Brown. Funeral services celebrating Jean's life will be held on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at Two o'clock p.m. from the chapel of Coile and Hall Funeral Directors with Rev. Sean Payne officiating. Burial will be in Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 12-2 just prior to the funeral. The family will be at the home.
