Mrs. Lillie Mae Herring Wilson, age 84 of Clyde Arnold Road, Starr, SC, went to be with the Lord early Sunday morning, October 6, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born October 3, 1935 in Hart County to the late J.C. Herring and Effie Feltman Herring. She was a retired respiratory therapist having worked at Hart County Hospital and Anderson Memorial Hospital. Lillie Mae was an active member of Abundant Life Baptist Church, Sunday School Teacher, Ladies Auxilliary of the church and worked in the kitchen. She was an avid golfer and member of Pine Tree Golf Club in Anderson and she had made six holes- in- one. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. Proverbs 31:10 "her children rise and call her blessed" Survivors include: her husband, James Kenneth Wilson of the home, children, Judy N.(John) Vanderveer, Marietta, Ga., Rose Marie N.(Leonard) DeRamus, Watkinsville, Ga., Steven C.(Sharon) Norris, Hartwell, Ga., and Rhonda (Dennis) White, Hartwell, Ga, sisters, Betty Stone and Barbara Jones of Hartwell, Ga. Grandchildren, Griffin Vanderveer, Jamie Vanderveer, Olivia Vanderveer, Kim (Lane) Lareau, Josh (Mellisa) DeRamus, Nerissa Burns, Anthony Wilson and B.J. White. Great-grandchild, Nia Burns. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Dora Moore, J.L. Herring, Sammy Herring, Jerry Herring, Bobby Herring and Daisy Reed and by step-sons, Brian and Todd Wilson. Funeral services celebrating her life will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at Two o'clock from the chapel of Coile and Hall Funeral Directors. Rev. Ken Brewer and Rev. John Mitchell will officiate. Burial will follow at Nancy Hart Memorial Park. The body is a the funeral home and the family will greet friends 1-2 p.m. just prior to the service. The family will be at their respective homes. In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to Abundant Life Baptist Church, 12 Hart Service Road, Hartwell, Ga. 30643 Coile and Hall Funeral Directors, 333 E.
