Linder McMullan

Mr. Linder Harrison McMullan, age 77 of 374 Oakcrest Drive, Hartwell, Ga, went to be with his Lord on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at his home with his loving wife and son by his side. Born on January 10, 1938 in Hart County, GA, he was the son of the late George B. McMullan and Guynelle McCurley McMullan. Linder was a life time farmer working his beloved farm up until two weeks before his death. He was a member of the Georgia Cattlemen’s Association and Hart County Cattlemen’s Association; he also served his community as a School Board member from 1975-1985 and his country as a US Army Reservist. He was a member of the Mt Hebron Baptist Church and Choir. One of his proudest achievement was being awarded the 2013 Centennial Family Farm Award. He is survived by his wife Helen Hayes Poole McMullan of the home; son: Michael McMullan of Hartwell; three step children: Troy Poole of Gainesville, GA, Tracy Poole of Griffin, GA, and Trent Poole of Canton, GA; Sister: Mary Ann Oglesby of Hartwell; Aunt: Claudine Mauldin of Lavonia; two grandchildren: Ruby and Opal McMullan; five Step Grandchildren and several Nieces and Nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother: Benson McMullan. The memorial service for Mr. McMullan will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 three o’clock pm at Mt. Hebron Baptist Church. Dr. Donald Little will officiate. Burial will be in the New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery at ten o’clock am on Thursday, August 13, 2015. The body is at the funeral home where the family will receive friends Tuesday, August 11, 2015 from 6-8 at the Coile-Hall- Spagnoli Funeral Home of Hartwell.
