Mrs. Myra Akins Carver, age 84, a resident of 62 Rockdale Road, Canon, Ga., went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family. Born October 5, 1932 in Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late Lee Akins and Bertha Jordan Akins. She was retired from Emmanuael College in food service and was of the baptist faith. She is survived by: children, Joyce Driver of Canon, Ga., Kenneth Hart of Carnesville, Ga., Michael Hart of Elberton, Ga., and Randy Hart of Canon, Ga. , sister, Helen Hornick of Lavonia, Ga. Thirteen grandchildren and twenty-four great grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Dewey Carver, siblings, Benny Frank Akins, Emory Akins, Marshall Akins, Verlon Akins, Drucilla Campbell, Merline Hilley and Grace Davis. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 31, 2017 at Three o'clock p.m. from Tabernacle Baptist Church. Rev. Randall Starrett and Rev. Eddie Wiggins will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1-3 just prior to the service at the church. The body is at the funeral home and the family will be at the home, 62 Rockdale Road, Canon. Coile and Hall Funeral Directors, 333 E. Johnson St., Hartwell will be serving the Carver family.
