Richard Seymour

Mr. Richard Russell Seymour, age 84 of 1492 Moore Road, Hartwell, Ga., went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at home surrounded by his family. Born May 27, 1932 in Elbert County, he was the son of the late John Timothy Seymour and Evie Phelps Seymour. He was retired from United Merchants and Manufacturing having worked in maintenance. Richard was a U.S. Army Veteran, having served in the 101st Airborne and the 544th Artillery Batalion serving in Korea and Germany. He was an active member of Cokesbury United Methodist Church, United Methodist Men and the Bible Study Class. He is survived by: his children, Richard Glenn Seymour, Charles Timothy Seymour and Karen Schlock, all of Hartwell, sister, Loretta Hamlin of Beech Island, S.C., and Hartwell. Seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Nancy Richardson Seymour, siblings, Paul Seymour,Jesse Green, John "Ollie" Seymour, Collie Seymour, Estelle Buffington, and Geraldine Harley. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Eleven o'clock a.m. in the chapel of Coile-Hall-Spagnoli Funeral Home with military honors. Rev. Dean Kring will officiate. The body is at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 6-8 on Friday evening. Richard will be laid to rest on Sunday, March 19, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. at Nancy Hart Memorial Park. The family will be at their respective homes. Memorials may be made to Cokesbury United Methodist Church or the charity of one's choice. Coile-Hall-Spagnoli Funeral Home, 333 E.
