Arthur Crosby Obituary

Mr. Arthur Hollon Crosby, age 81 of Kingsland, Ga., passed away on the evening of Wednesday, November 27th, 2019. Mr. Crosby was born on July 30th, 1938 in Waycross, Ga. to the late Arthur and Pauline Crosby. Hollon was a dedicated husband, father, brother, grandparent, neighbor, and friend who truly gave his time and support to all he loved. He rarely met a stranger and had the ability to talk to those he just met or in passing as if they were old and familiar friends. His love of fishing and Georgia Bulldog football were some of his favorite topics of conversation. He attended First Baptist Church of Kingsland and was employed at Gilman Paper Company for 46 years. Mr. Crosby is survived by his beloved wife, Betty Jean Crosby, of Kingsland, Ga.; his sons, Mark (Pamela) Crosby and Brad (Pam) Crosby, all of Kingsland, Ga.; his sister, Paula (Robert) Cole of Waycross, Ga.; his brothers, Phillip (Mary) Crosby of Jesup, Ga. and Charles (Kathy) Crosby, of Waycross, Ga.; his sister-in-law, Betty Jo Crosby of Panama City, Fl.; his grandchildren, Kristin (Mark) Mole of Woodbine, Ga., Cody (Cybil) Crosby of White Oak, Ga., Ashley Crosby, Chloe Crosby, and Abby Crosby, all of Kingsland, Ga.; and his great-granddaughter, Claire Mole of Woodbine, Ga. Besides his parents, Mr. Crosby also joins his brother Fred Crosby in Heaven. A visitation for Mr. Crosby will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 3rd, 2019 at the Kingsland First Baptist Church. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 p.m at the church with Pastor Brian Parker presiding. Pallbearers will be Jim Stein’s Sunday School Class, Mark, Mole, Cody Crosby, Clyde Anderson, Billy Saturday and Aron Lewis.
