Hazel Annette Thrift

Mrs. Annette Thrift, age 81, passed away in the early morning hours of Tuesday, April 21st, 2020 surrounded by her family at home in Woodbine, Ga. Mrs. Thrift was born on April 8th, 1939 in Waverly, Ga. to the late Huey and Annie Bell Wiley. Annette was an inspiring, Godly woman. She loved gardening, musicals, Atlanta Braves baseball, and spending time with her family. She gave the best kisses. She was always willing to help people. Not only did she take care of her five grandchildren, she also had a career at the child development center at Kings Bay, helping to care for many other children. She put her family second to God. She was the best cook, and her family loved to gather around her table, especially for birthdays when she would make your favorite dish. Joe and Annette loved cruising together. Although their marriage lasted 64 years, their love will continue to go on. She is now in the arms of her beloved son, Joey. Mrs. Thrift is survived by her beloved husband, Joseph Thrift of Woodbine, Ga.; her daughters, Debbie (JC) Outlaw of St. Marys, Ga., Tina (Glenn) Gilmore of Milledgeville, Ga., and Roxanne (Ralph) Nantze of Kingsland, Ga.; her sister, Annie Middleton of Yulee, Fl.; her grandchildren, Heather (Darrell) Vanzant of White Oak, Ga., James (Ami) Outlaw of St. Marys, Ga., Stacy Gilmore of Milledgeville, Ga., Tara (James) Grimes of Cameron, NC, and Brittany (Jacob) Perreira of Folkston, Ga.; and her great-grandchildren, Hayden Outlaw, Brooke Vanzant, Camden Outlaw, Hunter Vanzant, Melodi Outlaw, Bridgette Teasley, Jesse Teasley, Ethan Teasley, Kenslie Gilmore, Haleigh Grimes and Joey Grimes.
