Luther Wisby

Sgt. Luther (Ray) Wisby was born March 21, 1922 in Palo Verde, Arizona, the son of Henry and Ida Sipes Wisby, both from Texas. He retired as Chief Yard Clerk for Southern Pacific Railroad. He passed peacefully at home in Hailey, Idaho on October 08, 2017. As a World War II Veteran, Luther participated in Bougainville, Guam and Iwo Jima Campaigns, and received Military awards including Three Presidential Unit Citations and Letter of Commendation. He is survived by three sons: Luther Wisby Jr., Louis G. (Greg) Wisby, and Richard M. (Mike) Wisby Sr.; twelve Grand Children, sixteen Great Grand Children and five Great-Great Grand Children.
