Obituary for James J. Hoskins

To everything there is a season; a time to be born”… Ecclesiastes 3:1
On a cool but sunny day in Chicago Illinois , September 5th ,1985 to be exact. God blessed Jerome A. Jackson and Jeanette Hoskins with the birth of handsome bouncing and screaming baby boy. Overjoyed and blessed beyond measure, They decided to named their son James Jerome. James received his education at Zion Hill Christian Academy through 7th grade. From there, James entered Chicago Public School system where he graduated from Kohn Elementary School and Corliss High School.

James enjoyed and conquered life’s many adventures head on. A great family man; James loved being around and participating in all family events. James zest of building friendships and memories was undeniable. This was further showed in the great unbreakable bound of friendship, laughter and most of all, love among his siblings Matthew, Jordan ,Eddwjuan and ZeNoba.
Wise beyond his years and with an uncontrollable thirst for God, James accepted Christ as his personal Lord and Savior at the tender age of 4. Baptized by Bishop Dr. T.A. Clark, Jr. at Faith Deliverance Christian Center , James spiritual growth lead him to received many certificates in Christian Education from BYF (Baptist Youth Fellowship) and VBS (Vacation Bible School). His rooted spiritual growth and journey could not go undone without the tutelage of Sister Juanita Shields, Sister Dorothy Goines, Sister Amy Harris, Sister Ruth Price, Minister Hassie Boyd , Minister Derrick Alston and Minister Andre Woods. All help James become the man of God he was destined to be.
James became a member of World Deliverance Christian Center under the leadership of Bishop Pastor Thomas A. Clark, IV in 2013 and remained faithful till his move to Milwaukee, WI.
James was a dedicated and hard worker that maintained a strong work ethic. He worked several jobs in Chicago, IL and Milwaukee, WI ; His final job was as a fork lift driver in Milwaukee, WI.

Like God saw that it was fit to give Adam the companionship of Eve, God saw fit for James to meet the life of his love Beverly Foreman. James And Beverly was the twinkle in each other eyes and was loving devoted to their love for 14 blissful years. His love for Beverly did not stop with just her. James, a man of faith and substance , developed love and bond with Dante, Beverly’s son. From the first 8 months of Dante’s life till up to his passing, James adopted, raised and love Dante as his own son.
On July 5th 2017 James Jerome heard the master call and enter into his heavenly rest. His Brother Eddwjuan Hoskins, Grandparents Leon and Jean Hoskins, three Uncles, Raymond Sykes, Robert and Eugene Hoskins, God Parents’ Samuel and Hazel Davis and two God Aunt’s Delores Woods and Marilyn Bell greeted James with joy and gladness as the pearly gates open for his arrival.
James leaves to cherish his memories and legacy: the love of His Life Beverly Forman, Son Dante; Parents Jerome and Jeanette Jackson; Grandmother Mary Jackson; One Sister ZeNoba Jackson; Two Brothers Matthew and Jordan Jackson; Nieces Akeyla , Aniah, Jordan; Four Nephews Quincy, Eddwjuan Jr, Matthew Jr., Taveon, and two Great Nephews. Eddwjuan III and Major. Two Aunts Barbara (Nero) Weekly, Adrienne Floyd; One Uncle Leon (Jocelyn) Hoskins; God Uncle Pastor Andre Woods; Three God Sisters Rosita and Vanessa Davis and Kristin Smith; Two God Brothers Micah and Marcus Davis and a host of relatives and friends.
