Patricia Huerta, nee Garza, 81, September 18, 2017, of Chicago, formerly of Stamford, Texas. Devoted mother of Caroline Jebnouni, Armandina (Alex) De La Peza, Juanita (Eduardo) Oria, Edward (Lisa) Alvarado, Lupe (Rafael) Ortiz, Shawn Huerta, Ramona Alvarado, and the late Henry Alvarado; dear stepmother of Jeronima Martinez and Tita (Francisco) Rodriguez; cherished grandmother of Alexander, Armando, Angelica, Eddie, Steven, Patricia, Steven, Bianca, Diana, Rafael Jr., Damien, Luis, Rosa, Geraldo, Francisco, David, Nancy, Alex, and the late Hector, Richard, and Angelina,; dearest great grandmother of 11; loving sister of Henry (Socorro) and the late Joe (Martha) Garza; beloved daughter of the late Vicente and Rosa Garza, nee Mendez; fond aunt of many nieces and nephews. Pat was born and raised in Stamford, Texas and at a young age, picked cotton until at the age of 15 at which time her family migrated to Chicago. She began working in factories until she settled with Sweetheart Cup/Solo Company where she worked for 27 years before retiring in 2006. Pat was always the life of party. She was extremely generous and like a second mother to all of the friends of her eight children. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends. Resting at CENTRAL CHAPEL, 6158 S. Central Ave., Chicago, where family and friends will gather on Friday, September 22, from 2 to 8:30 p.m. Funeral Saturday, September 23, 9 a.m. at chapel, to St. Rita Church, 2700 W. 63rd St., Chicago.
