Delphine T. Dole, nee Stults, 95, August 18, 2015, recently of Manville, IL, longtime resident of Chicago’s Bridgeport neighborhood, originally of Seattle, WA. Beloved wife of the late Burton R. Dole. Devoted mother of Burton C. Dole, Renee Finley, and the late Martin (late Dora) Dole. Loving daughter of the late Garr and Myrtle Olson Stults. Dear sister of Louise Gredig, and Christine Johnson and preceded in death by Jean, Paul, and Lawrence Stults. Veteran of World War II having joined the Women’s Army Corp (WAC). Stationed in the Washington, D.C.motor pool during the war and was very proud to have helped maintain President Roosevelt’s car as well as meeting Sir Winston Churchill. Retired from The Salvation Army, Midwest Citadel Corps, Chicago, in 2006 after 50 years of volunteer service. Services at CENTRAL CHAPEL, 6158 S. Central Ave., Chicago, where family and friends will gather on Friday, Aug. 21, from 5 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service Saturday, Aug. 22, at 10 a.m. Captain Derek Rose, of Salvation Army, Midway Citadel Corps, officiating.
