Edwin P. Sullivan, Jr., 73, December 23, 2014, retired C.F.D.,lifetime resident of the Southwest side of Chicago, of Clearing neighborhood, Beloved husband of 50 years to Patricia L., nee Trusiak. Devoted father of Michael Sullivan, Michelle (Kenneth) Cannata, Edwin (Agnes) Sullivan, Bridgeview P.D., and Mark (Season) Sullivan, C.F.D. Loving grandfather of Keegan, Megan, Zackary, Kaylee, Lorna, Ryan, Heather, Michael, Ramsey and Jacey. Cherished brother in law of Peter (Virginia) Trusiak and Phyllis Sharp. Preceded in death by parents, Edwin P. and Elizabeth Sullivan; parents by marriage, Peter and Catherine Trusiak; and one sister, Elizabeth Sullivan. Served the City of Chicago as a firefighter for 33 years. 45 year member of Oak Lawn Council, No. 3582, Knights of Columbus. Longtime cub master and scout leader of Cub Scout Pack No. 4649. An avid baseball player and fan, Ed was a baseball coach and umpire for Clear-Ridge Baseball. Ed also played in a senior baseball league. More than a coach, he was a mentor to many, many kids who took an interest in them and taught leadership by example. Resting at CENTRAL CHAPEL, 6158 S.
