Margery Ogle Obituary

Margery S. Ogle of Chicago died Sept. 26th at her residence, The Clare. She was born on July 10, 1923 to Charles R. and Mildred Scott Ogle, formerly of Indianapolis, IN. and Belleville, IL. She graduated from Butler University and in 1945 entered the Overseas Services of the American Red Cross. In 1959, she was named Director of Women's Banking at LaSalle National Bank, Chicago, where she was a leader in her field of business development until her retirement in 1988. She was a former President of the Association of Chicago Bank Women. Margery was a tireless volunteer over 35 years at The Northwestern Memorial Hospital and former president of the Chicago Women's Chapter of the Republican National Committee. She was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma, P.E.O International, The Daughters of the American Revolution and the St. Clair County Historical Society of Belleville, IL. She is survived by her cousins Cary Bluhm and Jamie Shafer and also her forever friend and traveling companion, Betty Hohf Frank of Chicago. Entombment Tuesday, October 1, at Crown Hill Cemetery, Indianapolis, IN. Memorials may be sent to The Northwestern Memorial Hospital Foundation, c/o H.
