Stefanie Beth Kohn, of Chicago, IL died at the age of 41 on November 20th, 2012. She was born to Linda Kohn and the late Neal Kohn in Miami, FL on June 3rd, 1971. Stefanie lived in Chicago with her beloved partner, Sarah. Stefanie worked as a printmaker in Florida, Colorado, and Chicago before taking a job managing an independent frame shop in Chicago. Stefanie was a wonderful artist, musician, writer, and singer, loved to cook, and was an avid knitter. What is most memorable about Stefanie, however, is her remarkably warm heart and gentle spirit. Stefanie was absolutely cherished by all who knew her, and her kindness, sense of humor, and love of life were truly extraordinary. Stefanie loved animals, especially dogs, and was very devoted to her dog, Zeze. She is survived by her beloved partner Sarah, of Chicago, IL, beloved sister Jennifer Bigelow, of Seattle, WA, beloved brother Neal Kohn, of Bradenton, FL, beloved sister Jordan Kohn, of Sarasota, FL, beloved mother, Linda Kohn, of Bradenton, FL, beloved step mother, Renee Kohn of Sarasota, FL, as well as many very dear friends. Her open heart warmed all that knew her. An event to celebrate Stefanie’s life is being planned by her partner, friends, and family.
