Betty June (Clover) Pendleton, 74, of Gorham, passed away at 8:25 a.m. Friday, September 22, 2017, at her residence in Gorham, Illinois. Betty June was born on December 24, 1942, in Murphysboro, Illinois to Kenneth Clover and Sarah Violet (Florance) Clover. She had worked as a cook at the Rehab and Care Center of Jackson County in Murphysboro from 1973 to 2006. Mrs. Pendleton enjoyed sewing, quilting, cooking, and going to yard sales. She also loved to go fishing and camping. Betty married David Pendleton on May 11, 1964, in Murphysboro, and he survives. She is survived by three children Robert Pendleton and his wife Rose of Murphysboro, Patricia Kranawetter and her husband Ron of Jacob, and Betty Pendleton of Gorham; and then she was a surrogate mother to her sister Anna Mae's children-Jo Ann Hanson of Tiger Oregon, Debbie Bolter of Gorham, Dale Pendleton of Brewerton, AL, Jerry Pendleton of Bland, MO, and Steven Pendleton of Murphysboro; three grandchildren David Pendleton, Arianna Augustyniak, and Amanda Green; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Kenneth Clover, Jr., one sister Anna Mae Pendleton, her sister's daughter Kathy Schroeder, and one grandson Jonathan Kranawetter. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, September 24, 2017, at Pettett Funeral Home with Rev. Andy Cunningham officiating, and burial will be at Fairview Cemetery.
