Kimberly D. Kimmel, 41, of Murphysboro, passed away at 9:01 a.m. Thursday, May 11, 2017, at Landmark Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Kimberly was born on July 16, 1975, in Murphysboro, to Logan Clyde Kimmel and Jean Ann (Wyman) Kimmel. She was an avid Cardinal fan. She enjoyed visiting and spending time with her family and friends, especially her nieces and nephews. She loved all of her animals. Kimberly is survived by four sisters and seven brothers Bonnie (Rick) Kamminga of Murphysboro, David Pierce of Austin, TX, Keith Kimmel of Farmington, MO, Paula (David Mark) Mitchell and Tina (Teddy) Cripps, all of Murphysboro, Charles Kimmel of Elkville, Jim (Linda Faye) Kimmel of Murphysboro, Howard (Cheryl) Kimmel of Pekin, Danny (Betty) Kimmel of DeSoto, Wayne (Juanita) Kimmel of Murphysboro, and Mary (Bill) Cameron of Ashley, IL; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 13, 2017, at Pettett Funeral Home with Adam Cripps officiating and burial at Zion Cemetery.
