<p>Janie Herrera Gonzalez, nee Ovalle, 89 of Belleville, IL, born July 12, 1929, passed away Sunday, January 27, 2019.</p><p><br></p><p>Janie was very involved in her church while living in Corpus Christi, Texas. She truly enjoyed living within her retirement community and enjoyed life to the fullest. Janie found joy in volunteering and arranging events at her senior center. She loved to dance and enjoyed the peace and relaxation of walking around the lake of the senior center. </p><p><br></p><p>She was preceded in death by her parents, Viviano and Paula (nee Perez) Ovalle; spouses, Adolfo Herrera, Sr. and Daniel Gonzalez, Jr. and daughter, Diana Herrera Lopez.</p><p><br></p><p>Surviving are her children, Aldofo (Chompoo) Herrera, Jr., George (Michelle) Herrera and Michael Herrera; twelve grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.</p><p><br></p><p>Pursuant to the family’s wishes, there will be no services.</p><p><br></p><p>Arrangements have been entrusted to Schildknecht Funeral Home.</p>

Janie Herrera Gonzalez, nee Ovalle, 89 of Belleville, IL, born July 12, 1929, passed away Sunday, January 27, 2019.


Janie was very involved in her church while living in Corpus Christi, Texas. She truly enjoyed living within her retirement community and enjoyed life to the fullest. She was preceded in death by her parents, Viviano and Paula (nee Perez) Ovalle; spouses, Adolfo Herrera, Sr. and Daniel Gonzalez, Jr. and daughter, Diana Herrera Lopez.


Surviving are her children, Aldofo (Chompoo) Herrera, Jr., George (Michelle) Herrera and Michael Herrera; twelve grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.


Pursuant to the family’s wishes, there will be no services.


Arrangements have been entrusted to Schildknecht Funeral Home.
