Chester J. Matevich, age 88, WWII U.S. Army Veteran, Purple Heart Recipient. Beloved husband of the late Eleanor B., nee Balut (2003). Loving father of William (Judy) Matevich and the late Kathleen Hiott. Cherished grandfather of Jordan, Taylor, Shelby, and Evan and “grandfather-in-law” of Andy Klein. Dear brother of the late Theodore Matevich. Dearest uncle and cousin. Chester was the Founder and former President of Formcraft Tool Company on the southwest side of Chicago. He began it in 1948 and “retired” in 2009. Chester graduated from Kelly High School in Chicago. He was an Engineering major at the University of Illinois. He was also a former member and President of the Chicago Southwest Lions Club. Visitation Friday, February 3, 2012 from 3-8 p.m. Funeral Saturday, February 4, 2012, 9:00 a.m. from Colonial Chapel, 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park, IL to St. Alexander Church.
