Doris Hunt, nee Landers, of Markham, IL, born July 14, 1931, beloved wife of the late James "Bill" Hunt (1997). Loving mother of Deborah (David) Peterson, James (Dawn) Hunt, Danial (Patricia) Hunt, and Kimberly (David) Mager. Cherished grandmother 12. Dearest great-grandmother of 14 and great-great-grandmother of one. Fond sister of Ronald (Linda) Landers. Doris was retired from South Suburban Hospital. When her children were young, she was very active in Lowell School, Harvey, IL and Markham Park School's PTA. She wrote a book of Christian poetry "God's Wonderful Gift." In addition, she made books of poetry for service men and women about the battles they fought and gave out hundreds of them free to veterans and those currently in the service. Doris received a letter from President Bush thanking her for doing this. Visitation Friday, November 13, 2015 from 3-9 p.m. Funeral Service Saturday, November 14, 2015, 11:00 a.m. at Colonial Chapel, 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park, IL. Interment Skyline Memorial Park, Monee, IL.
