Doris R. Slager, nee Janke, age 88, beloved wife of the late Wilbur Slager (1990). Loving mother of Laura (late Mark) Smith, James (Rita) Slager, Robert (Jayne) Slager, and the late Ronald (Donna) Slager. Cherished grandmother of Heidi (Tim) Lavorato, Tracy (Eric) Deakins, Steve (Nicole) Slager, Jeremy "Bubba" Smith, Nick Slager, Kelsey Slager, Lindsey Slager, Cheyenne Slager, Hannah Slager, Will Slager, and the late Dylan Slager. Dear sister of Jean (Jack) Venhuizen, John (Connie) Janke, the late Rudy (late Nola) Janke, and the late David (Jo) Janke. Fond aunt of many nieces and nephews. Doris was a secretary in the registrar's office at Trinity Christian College for nearly 30 years. She was a lifetime dedicated supporter of CCHS basketball. Doris enjoyed Monday night bowling for over 30 years, puzzle making, and attending her grandchildren's sporting events. Visitation Wednesday, February 12, 2020 from 3-8 p.m. Funeral Service Thursday, February 13, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. at Colonial Chapel 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park, IL.
