Obituary
Dorothy W. “Dolly” Norlock, nee Eilenfeldt, age 82, devoted wife, mother, friend, animal lover and humanitarian passed away with dignity in her home surrounded by her loving husband for 62 years, Eugene J., her faithful and constant feline friends Sassy and Dusty, her best friend Sarah Mergesky and dear friends. Dolly, a child of The Depression personified the American dream by successfully creating and maintaining a home, raising a family Susan and Thomas (Raeanne), working outside the home and caring for her parents, Jean and Ted Grenda, in their final days. Dolly was tireless and energetic in all of her endeavors. She was compassionate and empathetic helping so many in a selfless silent manner. She found great comfort in her final days (and most of her life) from her childhood friend Freddy, and her high school friend Vivian and her good neighbor Ann. Her husband and caregiver are especially grateful for the exceptional care from Dr. Edward Sankary and his nurse Elaine Novak, along with the outstanding service and guidance provided by everyone from Palos Community Hospital Hospice: social worker Marikay, all visiting nurses led by Diane, Aid Charmaine and Sister Nancy. This team of exceptional individuals allowed Dolly to transition from this chapter of her life in the same way she lived her life, with grace. Visitation Monday, March 31, 2014 from 11:00AM until time of Funeral Service 1:00PM at Colonial Chapel, 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park, IL. Burial will be private at Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Dolly to P.A.W.S., 8301 W. 191st St., Tinley Park, IL 60487 would be appreciated.
