I. Ronald Paarlberg, age 71, US Navy Veteran, beloved husband for 43 years to Diane, nee Vos and the late Rose, nee Kamstra. Loving father of Paul (Cindy) and cherished grandfather of Nicholas. Devoted son of the late Herman and Irene. Fond brother of the late Arlene (Wes) Boersma. Ron was retired from ComEd after 32 years of service. Ron was a choir member and a small group leader with his wife Diane at Calvary Reformed Church of Orland Park. Ron was a former and active member of First Reformed Church of South Holland. He served as a Youth Sponsor, choir member, deacon and chairman of deacons for many years, and Elder. Ron was also a member of the Board of Camp Manitoqua. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 13, 2009 from 3-9PM at Colonial Chapel 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park. Lying in State Wednesday, October 14, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service 10:00 a.m. at Calvary Church of Orland Park 15101 S. 80th Ave. Orland Park, IL 60462. Interment private at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL. Memorials to American Diabetes Association, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society , or Calvary Church of Orland Park preferred.
