Jack D. Summers, age 91, WWII US Army Air Corps Veteran, beloved husband of the late Marjorie (nee Pels) and the late Marilyn Alford (nee Bailey). Loving father of Thomas (Cynthia) Summers, Karen (Bill) Davis, Denise (Mick) Voss, and Steve (Dori) Summers. Dear step-father of Karen (Ed) Swatkowski, Lori (Dave) Barker, and Dave Alford. Cherished grandfather of Shane (Lauren) Summers, Ashley (Jason) Stubbeman, Dustin (Katie) Summers, Tara Beth (Micah) Wenz, Cortney (Jon) Novak, Dan (Krystin) Voss, Kevin (Kaitlyn) Voss, Brian (Michelle) Voss, Simon Summers, Stacy Summers, Seth Summers, Joel (Tatum) Alford, Lori Beth Alford, Grace Barker, Faith Barker, Sara Swatkowski, and Eddie Swatkowski. . Dearest great-grandfather of Diem and Oakley Stubbeman, Layla and Liam Summers, and Noah and Owen Alford. Fond brother of the late Jim (late LaVerne) Summers and brother-in-law of the late Cornelia (late Elmer) Langland. Cherished uncle to several nieces and nephews. Jack was an avid race car fan, especially the Indianapolis 500 Race and time trials which he attended yearly for 65 years. He was a graduate of the Illinois Institute of Technology with a degree in Civil Engineering and owner of Alsterda Construction, Alsip, IL. Visitation Friday 3-9 PM. Funeral Service Saturday 10:00 AM at Colonial Chapel, 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park, IL. Interment Evergreen Cemetery.
