John P. Cranston, age 88, WWII US Army Veteran, retired (1986) from Illinois Bell Telephone Co. after 40 years of service, beloved husband for 58 years to the late Eileen, nee Zivney. Loving father of Susan (Jim) Meyer and Nancy (John) Wickham. Dear grandfather of Jackie (Jack) Dorcic, David (Maike) Meyer, Joseph (Laura) and Peter Meyer; Natalie Wickham, Nicole (Andy) Bloyer, Nadine, Noelle, Naomi, and Joseph Wickham. Dearest great-grandfather of Makenna and Simon. Fond brother of Patricia (the late William) Cairnes, and the late William (the late Sis), the late Robert (the late Joan), the late Thomas, and the late Mary Jane (the late Arnold) Conrad. Loving uncle of many nieces and nephews. Member of: Orland Park American Legion Memorial Post 111, Telephone Pioneers of America, Past President; Faith United Methodist Church of Orland Park; Active Orland Park community volunteer.
