Rosalie K. Whalen, nee Faron, age 92, loving wife of the late John Lynch and Charles "Bud" Whalen. Stepmother of Gary and Jeff (Michelle) Whalen, and Jan Fox. Proud grandmother of 6, and great-grandmother of 4. Beloved sister of Sophie (the late Stanley) Skarson, Chester (Mildred), Ann (the late Donald) Callahan, Walter (LeAnn), Jeanne (the late Lowell) Atterberry, and the late Frank (Lillian), John (Lillian), Michael (Josephine), and Stanley. Cherished aunt and great-aunt of many nieces and nephews. Treasured friend. “There is nothing more beautiful than someone who goes out of their way to make life beautiful for others.” Rosalie cherished her family and friends, and her generosity enhanced the lives of those around her. She embodied humility and grace. In honor of Rosalie, do something nice for someone, as she would. Make fun and humor a part of your life every day, because she loved to laugh. Celebrate your friends and family, and her spirit will be eternal. Family and friends are invited to Rosalie's Mass of Christian Burial which will take place at St. Julie Billiart Church 7399 W. 159th St. Tinley Park, Illinois on Friday, November 10, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be private at Holy Cross Cemetery in Calumet City, Illinois. In lieu of flowers, the family would like to honor Rosalie's memory with gifts to both the Memory Care Unit of Alden Estates and Unity Hospice.
