Sheila Patricia Lachecki, nee O’Connor, age 78, born in Wolverhampton, England on October 1, 1932. Beloved wife of Zygmunt Lachecki for 61 years. Loving mother of Christine (Randy) Petersen, John (Audrey) Lachecki, and the late Helena Lachecki-Paige (Dean). Cherished Nana of Celina and Jillian Petersen; Adam, Melanie, and Marshall Lachecki. Devoted daughter of the late Michael and Florence (nee Kelley) O’Connor. Dear sister of Eileen (Bernard) Prusiecki, Valerie (late Patrick) Collison, Terry (Sheila), Peter (Janet), Kevin (Ruth), and Adrian (Beverly) O’Connor. Fond aunt of many nieces and nephews. A true performer, Sheila’s passion for singing led her to the role of Mrs. Bedwin in “Oliver,” and a later role in “The Music Man” through the Lincoln-Way Theatre Guild. Known as Nana to all, Sheila will be most remembered for her kindness, British wit, and her song. Visitation Friday, July 15, 2011 from 3-9 PM with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park, IL. Interment private.
