Vivian Helen Mitcheff, nee Shanks, age 83 of Elwood, IL, at rest peacefully on Saturday, April 4, 2020. Beloved wife of the late Phillip Mitcheff. Loving mother of Natalie (Mark) Bechtold, Darrin Mitcheff, Kevin (Bridgette) Mitcheff, and the late Phillip Jr. (Tari) Mitcheff. Loving grandmother of Alec, Zachary, Isabella and Avianna. Cherished granti to Sabrina, Douglas, and Randy. Dearest gigi of Jordan, Joe, Tracey (Tom), Troy and Matt. Devoted daughter of the late Bruno and Genevieve Szczech (Shanks), nee Bafia. Dear sister of the late Sonny Shanks, Esther Bednarke, Carol (Andy) DiCharia, and Francis Shanks. Fond aunt and great aunt of many loving nieces and nephews. Known for her love of family and friends,Vivian will be remembered for her beautiful smile, huge loving kind heart, and the loving ways she cared for people. She was a volunteer at Silver Cross Hospital for over 10 years. Vivian loved to cook for her family, spend time with her grandkids, shop with her daughter, and enjoyed traveling .
