Warren M. Coleman

Warren M. Coleman, born August 28, 1941, passed away on May 25, 2009 in Tinley Park, IL. Warren spent most of his life in Dolton, IL. After retiring as a Business Teacher at Thorton High School, he moved to St. Pete Beach, Florida, where he had vacationed for many years. He loved the beach and boating. He also was a police officer in Dolton in the mid 60’s. He was very active in Boy Scouts having achieved the award of an Eagle Scout and being a camp counselor. He led several wilderness canoeing trips. He also loved to travel and was always thinking about his next adventure. Warren was the loving husband of Millie O’Rourke Coleman, nee Vetterick and the late Victoria, nee Thomson. He was the greatest dad of Rebecca (Brian) Calomino and the caring “Papa” of Jack and Nick. He was the fondest brother of Ken (Sally) Coleman, Pamela (Floyd) Millsap, Harry (Donna) Richter, and Cheryl (Carl) Steffens & brother-in-law of Shirley (Thomas) Yatsak and Bud (Marge) Vetterick and the uncle to several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Warren and Ruth, nee Petersen and stepfather Harry Richter. Visitation will be on Thursday, May 28 from 3-9PM at Colonial Chapel 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park. Lying in State Friday, May 29 from 9:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service 10:00 a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church 14700 S. 94th Ave., Orland Park, IL 60462. Interment Oakland Memory Lanes Dolton, IL.
