Karen Sue “Fuzz” Brown, age 78, of Bloomfield, Indiana passed away at her residence on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 15, 1941 in Monroe County to Thomas Henry Baranski and Susie May Clemens. Karen was a wonderful and loving housewife. She was a great mother and was a kind and caring grandmother. Karen loved her IU and Duke Basketball, and of course the Indianapolis Colts. She loved decorating for the holidays, Christmas being her favorite and having everyone over for big family dinners. Karen married Larry R. Brown and enjoyed 44 years of wonderful married bliss. Karen was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Judith Robertson and Beverly Shields, and brother, James Shields. Karen is survived by her husband, Larry R. Brown of Bloomfield, sisters, Ruth Blackwell of Bedford, Debbie Shields of Bloomington, and Sherry Shields of Bloomington, brother, John Shields and wife Rhonda of Ellettsville, one son and two daughters, Lisa J. Rinkel and husband Tom of Olympic WA, Jeff L. White and wife Teresa of Bloomington, and Tammy Cross and husband Terry of Dugger, two step-kids, Linda Seek and Ray Brown, ten grandchildren, Cody and Zacery White of Bloomington, Amanda and Nick Rinkel of WA, Rachael Hanelink, Sam and Nate Seek, Sherry Stevenson of Bloomington, and Tyler and Kyle Cornelius of Dugger, and several great nieces and great nephews. She also had the wonderful joy of five great-grandbabies, Lila and Tristan, Everly, and twins A & B due in September. She is loved by all and will be greatly missed. Visitation for Karen will be from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at Sherwood Oaks Christian Church East, 2700 E. Rogers Rd. Bloomington, Indiana 47401. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on Tuesday at Sherwood Oaks Christian Church East, with burial to follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens in Bloomington. John Robertson will officiate the service. Memorial contributions may be made in Karen’s name to Sherwood Oaks Christian Church East.
