Michele Renea (Shelly Scott) Mullins, 53, passed away peacefully after a long hard fought battle with cancer on August 25, 2019 at 11:30 p.m. at IU Hospice House. She was born September 13, 1965 to parents Ronald Scott and Rebecca Cummings in Bloomington, Indiana. Shell attended Bloomington High School South and had worked many years at Kroger South as the Deli Manager. Shell was known as a beautiful soul who was loved by all that knew her. She is survived by her loving husband Donnie, her mother Becky, stepmother Carol, sisters Regina Batchelor (Mike), Kellie Trisler, brother Brian Shipley (Jayme) and Mother-in-Law Lorene Eads. Shell is also survived by aunts Twila King, Janie Drake, Uncles Bill Pless (Beth), Don Cummings, Mike Cummings, Dennis Drake and stepchildren Heather, Kelsey, Konnor and Kenzie. Her nieces and nephews, who were her pride and joy, Justin Richardson, Brittney Atwood, Kody Shipley, Jordan Shipley, Jay Siskin also survive. Great nieces and nephews Sydney, Jaden, Jace, Tucker, Jansen, Jagger, Kennlyn, Bexley Renea and Emma Kay along with grandchildren Isiah, Gavin, Jaxon, Jace, Jensen, Mazy Clair, Vander, Bronx and Kaden survive. Her special friends Patti Patton, Mary Deford and Marny Clark. Her fur-babies Smoke, Cole and Meow Meow. Shell was preceded in death by her father Ronald Scott, paternal grandparents Floyd and Sylvia Scott, material grandparents Lloyd Cummings and Helen Goode, maternal great grandparents Ray and Hazel Borders and uncle James Pless. The family would like to thank IU Hospice House for their great care and compassion during Shell’s time there. Shell’s wishes were to be cremated and not to have any funeral services or visitation. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, anyone wishing to make a donation may do so to IU Hospice House, 2810 S. Deborah Dr., Bloomington, IN 47403. A Celebration of Life will be announced by the family at a later date. The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard in Bloomington is handling arrangements.
