Timothy E. “Tim” Bowers, 32, of Decatur, IN passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2013 at Lutheran Hospital as the result of a tragic hunting accident. He was born on February 18, 1981 to Charles and Carol (LaFontaine) Bowers. On August 3, 2013 he married Abbey Logan. He was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church and also of its Knights of Columbus Msgr. Seimetz Council 864. He was the owner and operator of 5 Points Transmission. He is survived by his wife Abbey Bowers of Decatur; his parents Charlie & Carol Bowers of Monroe; step son Greg Shively at home; Baby Bowers to be; 3 sisters Lisa (John) McAfee of Bluffton, Jenny (Landon) Shultz of Las Vegas, NV, and Krista (Scott) Jauregui of Decatur; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 1:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 7, 2013 at Haggard-Sefton & Hirschy Funeral Home with a reciting of the Holy Rosary at 12:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 8, 2013 at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church with Father David Voors presiding. Burial will take place in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Baby Bowers Education Fund.
