Gabriele Varolli, 73, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving friends on January 9, 2007. A native of Reggio Emilia, Italy, he was born on March 19, 1933. A martial artist and an accomplished professional chef, Gabriele believed desire, determination and discipline were the 3 Ds needed to master life.
Gabriele will be sadly missed by his long-time friend and caregiver, Pat Green, of Indianapolis. Other devoted friends include Cesar Calix of Indianapolis and Susie Pham of Biloxi, MS, Gabrieles companion. In addition, he is survived by his brothers, Benito, Romano and Amos; and a sister, Vera; all of Reggio Emilia. Gabriele also had three daughters, Nikki, Rebecca and Regina; along with two grandchildren. His Italian-American family includes Kathee Pizzi and the Centos family, John, Pina, Guerino, Emilio, Enzo, Angela and Brandon. He had a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Gabrieles life will be celebrated Saturday, (TODAY) January 13th, at Harry Moore Family Mortuary, 8151 Allisonville Rd, Indianapolis. A viewing will be from 11 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Abbie Hunt Bryce Home, 4760 Pennwood Drive, Indpls, IN 46205. Gabrieles final resting place will be in Reggio Emilia.
