Obituary for Glenn E. Burkhart

Glen E. Burkhart, 92 years old, died November 7, 2006 at Methodist hospital. He was the oldest of six children, born in Southern Monroe County. He married Lola (Thrasher) in June of 1940. They had one son, James, who died in 1995 and was never married. Surviving Mr. Burkhart are his wife, Lola, two brother-in-laws, one sister-in-law, and several nieces and nephews. He retired from Indiana Bell Telephone Co. in 1978 with 35 years of service. He was the past District Engineer, Intercompany Relations. He was a member of the Keystone Christian Church, Bell Management Club, Telephone Pioneers, and Indiana Telephone Association. There will be no funeral, but a graveside burial that will be at 1:00pm on Friday, November 10th at the Clear Creek Cemetery in Monroe County, Indiana.
