Obituary for James Alexander Bonnar

James A. Bonnar, 62, of Indianapolis, Indiana, went to be with the Lord April 4th, 2012.
He was born October 7th, 1949, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Alexander and Minnie Bonnar. He was the oldest of 5 siblings. He was married to Sharon Fedeanis for 27 years, who survives.

He studied at the University Of Illinois at Chicago and graduated from Plainfield High School (Plainfield, Illinois) in 1967. Mr. Bonnar started his career working for the Rock Island Railroad (Joliet, Illinois), then spent 13 years in the farming and dairy industry (Spencer, Wisconsin), and finished his career spending 17 years in the building trades (D’iberville, Mississippi). Mr. Bonnar had retired to Indianapolis, Indiana in July of 2011. He was an avid sports fan (especially of the Chicago Bears), lover of animals, and a Motown Music enthusiast.

He is survived by his son, Joel Bonnar of Eau Claire, Wisconsin; son, Scott Bonnar of Biloxi, Mississippi; daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Aaron Newton of Indianapolis, Indiana; daughter, Jill Bonnar of Gulfport, Mississippi; daughter, Cauline Peden of Tucson, Arizona; daughter, Melanie Bonnar of Mississippi; grandchildren, Coleman Bonnar of Wisconsin, Mack Newton of Indianapolis, Indiana; Jordan, Jacie, and Rylan Peden of Tuscon, Arizona; sister, Barbara Schuman of Braidwood, Illinois; sister, Sue Lollar of Garner, Iowa; brother, Jeffery Bonnar of Channahon, Illinois; and brother, Jon Bonnar of Calimesa, California.
Mr. Bonnar was preceded in death by his father, Alexander; and child Vincent.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday April 12, 2012 at Harry W. Moore Funeral Care and Crematory in Indianapolis, Indiana, with calling for one hour prior to the service. Ashes will be spread by the family at places of memory for Mr. Bonnar.
