May you find comfort in your family and friends. Know that I experienced Laura at LSA as quiet, studious and full of promise.
It seems she has surrounded you with a bountiful legacy of love. What giftedness. God bless. Miss Cowan(Religion Teacher)

My sincerest condolences go to all of the Schmedjte-Chave family.
I knew Laura through Ladywood St. Agnes. I'll always remember her sweet smile and all consuming laughter during our lunches together in high school. Her life sounded well lived and full and that in itself is an accomplishment. God bless all who are left behind and know her legacy of art and education and family and friendship will live on. May God hold you in the palm of his hand.

Alan - do you recall, 6 years ago, when I met with you and Laura near your home? We had lunch or dinner, right on the water. I was a long-ago grade-school classmate of Laura's. Something had caused me to get back in touch with her, likely involving her parents. In any case, I saw her obit in today's newspaper, and I am so sorry and so surprised. You didn't have your daughter then -- so much has changed. My heart goes out to you.
