Obituary for Stuart Arthur Huffman, Jr.

Stuart Arthur Huffman, Jr., 65, of Indianapolis, passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2008 peacefully at his residence. He was born in Sturgis, Kentucky on March 8, 1943, the son of the late Stuart Arthur and Maggie Ruth (Godsey) Huffman. Stu served in the US Navy for over 20 years. He was a Machinery Repairman (MR3) and a Master Deep Sea Diver. He worked as an Engineer on board the USS Ranger and an instructor at Fleet Training Center San Diego. He retired as a Chief Warrant Officer (CWO3).
Stu was a machinist with United Airlines in San Francisco and Indianapolis for 18 years.
He is a valued member of what was the start up team with Indianapolis Diversified Machining, and remained a continued source of help and information, mentoring newer personnel and running the daily operations of the machine shop.
Stu's friends and family will gather together at his home on Thursday October 23 from 4:30pm, onward. All who knew and loved him are encouraged to join in this memorial celebration of his life.
Dearest Stu - we will love and miss you forever until we all meet again at The Rainbow Bridge. Shirley, Jessie and Chance.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Shirley (McDonald) Huffman; son, Gary; granddaughters, Lacie, Ashlie, and Kelsie; two brothers, James (Patty) and Joe (Connie); three sisters, Linda (Robert) Goins, Mary (Ronald) Vargas, and Glenda (Robert) Elliott.
