Obituary
Nathan J. Vaught, Sr., age 77 of Sunman, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at his residence. He was born April 5, 1938 in Pulaski, Kentucky, the son of Charles and Eva Sipple Vaught. Mr. Vaught was a veteran of the United States Army, achieving the rank of Specialist 5. He retired after several years as a diesel mechanic for Liske Motors in Aurora, Indiana. Survivors include three daughters: Teresa Parker and her husband, Teddy of Moores Hill, Indiana, LaVerne Craig and her husband, Bob of Sunman, and Nancy Linberg and her husband, Chuck, of Holt, Missouri; four sons: Sgt. 1st Class Nathan J. Vaught, Jr. (US Army, Ret.) and his wife, Jackie of Harker Heights, Texas, John Vaught and his wife, Gina of Aurora, Michael Vaught and his wife, Tracy of Dillsboro, Indiana, and Thomas Vaught of Sunman; twelve grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, the former Janet C. Lampe, whom he married on July 18, 1959 in Cincinnati, Ohio, and who died on May 9, 2009; and one sister, Sis Davis. The Reverend Frank Eckstein will conduct the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at Saint Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Milan, Indiana. The Honor Guard of the American Legion Post, Milan, will conduct funeral honors immediately following Mass. The Vail Chapel of Lytle Funeral Homes, Madison, is in charge of the arrangements.
