Miss C. Ann Pommerehn, age 63, of Madison, Indiana, entered this life on January 24, 1949, in Madison, Indiana, the daughter of James E. Pommerehn, Jr. & Lucille (Furnish) Pommerehn, both of whom preceded her in death. She was raised in Pleasant, Indiana, & was a 1967 graduate of Vevay High School. Ann received her Master's Degree from Indian State University in Terre Haute, Indiana. Ann taught school at the St. Mary's Catholic School in North Vernon, Indiana. Ann was an accomplished musician & was very accomplished in a variety of musical instruments. She was a member of the Bennington Order of Eastern Star Chapter #407. Ann was very fond of her cats & enjoyed their companionship. Ann is survived by a sister: Jeanne A. Jones & her husband: Mike of Madison, IN; niece: Emily Allyson Jones of Hamilton, OH; nephew: Adam Michael Jones & his wife: Rachel of Madison, IN; great-niece: Riley Jones; uncle: Norris Howard of Madison, IN; 2-cousins: Susan Schafer of North Vernon, IN, John Howard of San Francisco, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents: James E. Pommerehn Jr., & Lucille (Furnish) Pommerehn; her grandparents: George Sanford & Martha (Ricter) Furnish & James E. Pommerehn, Sr., & Charus (Peters) Pommerehn: aunts: Mary Alice Howard & Lori Pommerehn; uncles: George E. "Sonny" Furnish & Clarence Pommerehn. Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 pm, Thursday, March 8, 2012 at the Vevay Cemetery, Vevay, Indiana Friends may call 12:00 pm - 12:45 pm Thursday, March 8, 2012, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home 208 Ferry Street Vevay, Indiana 47043. Bennington Order of Eastern Star #407 will conduct services at 12:30 pm on Thursday, March 8, 2012, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home 208 Ferry Street Vevay, Indiana 47043 Memorial contributions may be made to Jefferson County Animal Shelter or the Switzerland County Animal Shelter. Cards are available at the funeral home.
