Barbara Lorene Molacek

Barbara Lorene (Mortimore) Molacek was born in Iowa, on September 30, 1933, to Lillian (Messinger) and Warren Mortimore. She attended Estherville Schools until the 8th grade. On April 28, 1949, she was united in marriage to Stephen Anton Molacek in Blue Earth, Minnesota. She passed away on July 7, 2017, at the Good Samaritan Society in Estherville at the age of 83 years.

Barb was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Estherville. She enjoyed scrapbooking, word searches, shopping, riding motorcycle, crafts, visiting the casino and especially enjoying all of her family.

Barb is survived by five sons: Ken (Cathy) Molacek of Lake Havasu AZ, Dennis (Kathy) Molacek of Early TX, Steve (Joyce) Molacek Jr of Hemet CA, Doug (Rose) Molacek of Algona IA and John (Julie) Molacek of Willmar MN; four daughters, Anita Beach of Estherville IA, Pam (Joe) Sheda of Estherville IA, Dawn Molacek of Estherville IA, Sheila Ross of Estherville IA; 64 grandchildren; 114 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by four sisters, Wilma Matthes, Nadine Vigdal, Kathy Houseman, Diane Dixon; one brother, Craig Mortimore; two sisters-in-law, Donna Mortimore and Adoline Mortimore and many, many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Barb is preceded in death by her husband; one son; three grandsons; one great-granddaughter; parents; two brothers, Shorty and Lester Mortimore and one sister-in-law, Joanne Mortimore.
