Margaret Mary (Sullivan) Roberts, the daughter of Francis G. and Margaret M. (Maloney) Sullivan, was born on May 1, 1926. She died on November 28, 2020 at the Good Samaritan Society in Estherville at the age of 94.

Interment will be at Valley of The Sun Cemetery in Phoenix, Arizona with her husband.

She graduated from Estherville High School in 1944. Margaret was united in marriage to Leonard John Roberts at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Estherville by Father JJ. Keane on February 10, 1945.

Margaret was employed at JC Penney and Anthony's Clothing Store, as well as the War Price and Rationing Board during WWII. She retired from Holy Family Hospital after 21 years in 1984.

Margaret was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Altar and Rosary Society, Catholic Daughters of America and the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post #3388 in Estherville.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, James (Phyllis) Roberts of North Liberty, Iowa, Michael Roberts of Marengo, Iowa; daughter, Kathryn (Richard) Dalen of Estherville, Iowa; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Glen (Katherine) Roberts of Estherville; as well as many other extended family members and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Roberts; her parents, Francis G. and Margaret M. (Maloney) Sullivan; sisters, Kathryn (Sullivan) McIlwraith and Patricia (Sullivan) Stevens; and her brother, Francis (Jerry) Sullivan Jr.
