Richard "Dick" Rieke, the son of Raleigh and Gertrude (Hecht) Rieke, was born August 23, 1931, in Muscatine, Iowa. He died on Tuesday, September 12, 2017, at his home in Armstrong, Iowa, at the age of 86.

He received his education and graduated from Muscatine High School. Dick served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict.

On January 6, 1952, he was united in marriage to Roberta Nicklas. Dick was employed with Kent Feeds for 34 years. He served many organizations over the years including: Muscatine Church Council, Elks Lodge, Des Moines Feed & Grain and the Library Board.

He was an active member of Nazareth Lutheran Church in Armstrong.

Left to cherish Dick's memory are his wife, Bobbi of Armstrong; children, Deborah Zoellner of Armstrong; Mike (Dee) Rieke of Des Moines, Iowa; Randy (Debbie) Rieke of Camdenton, Missouri; Rena (Rick) Thomas of Des Moines; granchildren; great-grandchildren, step grandchildren; sisters, Darlene (Sterling) Mische of Palatine, Illinois and Mary Lou Cox of New Boston, Illinois.

He has been preceded in death by his parents and one grandson, Lucas Zoellner.
