Leland R. Adams, 85 of Atchison passed away Sunday, October 6, 2013 at Vintage Park Atchison, KS. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Friday October 11, 2013 at Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home, Atchison KS, with Rev. Robert Ziegler, officiating. Burial will follow at the Sunset Memory Gardens, Atchison, KS. Family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to Trinity Lutheran School Grant Fund or St. Jude’s Hospice and may be sent in care of the funeral home. Online condolences may be left at www.beckerdyer.com. Leland was born May 17, 1928 in Spickard, MO the son of Thomas and Hattie (Long) Adams. He served in the United States Army during World War II; Leland was an Accountant with the GSA. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, American Legion in Atchison, VFW Post 846-Overland Park, ACHS, ACKGS, KSCGS, KSHS, Vol. NAV-KCMO, FGS. Leland is survived by many loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: Vern & Thomas Adams and three sisters; Clarice Martin, Erma Ledford and Kathleen Peaslee,
