Diana Lou Stout

Diana Lou Stout, 52, of Tanglewood Lakes, died Friday, April 7, 2017. She endured many health issues throughout her life, however her death was unexpected. Diana was born November 22, 1964 in Edwardsville, Kansas to Gary Lee and Doris Louise (Galllup) Roush. She graduated from Turner High School with the Class of 1983. On April 18, 1986, Diana married the love of her life, Stephen R. Stout in Merriam, Kansas. Diana was an animal fanatic. She was known for always having a menagerie. She also loved to cook and was well known for her delicious cakes for family birthdays, and other special occasions. Diana loved to do crafts including making puzzles, painting, sewing, jewelry making, and woodworking. She loved celebrating holidays, and always decorated and planned something to celebrate each occasion. Above all, Diana loved and cherished her family in her role as wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, aunt, and friend. Diana was preceded in death by her father Gary, and all of her many loved past pets. Diana is survived by her mother Doris of Overland Park; husband, Steve, of the home; two daughters, Megan Meads and husband Travis of Linn Valley Lakes, and Carla Stout of Tanglewood Lakes; three grandchildren, Brooke, Ellie, and Colden McAvoy, who were her world; four sisters, Joyce DeGhelder and husband Bruce, Peggy Barnhart and husband Ken, Dotty Harding and husband Ken, and Tracy Stokes; 15 nieces and nephews; and her two beloved Maltese, Isabella and PollyAnna. Diana also had a special bond with her dear neighbors and friends. A Celebration of Life will be at 11:00 am on Friday, April 14, 2017 at Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, LaCygne Chapel, followed by a reception and remembrance luncheon. In Diana''s honor the family suggests donations to the Students Promoting and Encouraging Animal Kindness (SPEAK) program at Prairie View High School, LaCygne, KS in care of the funeral home P.O.
