Warren Billips

Warren Larry Billips, 64, of Oakley, died Thursday, December 12, 2019. He was born February 1, 1955, in Norton, KS, to Eldon and Leora (Cutting) Billips. He was a graduate of Hill City High School, followed by four years of service in the United States Air Force. On January 22, 1983, he married Rita Goetz. Warren enjoyed family time, hunting, fishing, snow skiing, KU basketball, pinochle, and pampering his canine and feline pets. Warren was employed by KDOT in Oakley. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; stepfather Duane Adams and father-in-law Donald L. Goetz. He is survived by his wife, Rita Billips, of Oakley, KS., sister Judy (Richard) Durham, Palisade, NE., brother Gary (Deb) Billips, Grand Island, NE., sister, Janet (Ray) Schmidtberger, Ellis, KS., mother-in-law Mary Goetz, Salina, KS., sister-in-law Barb (Cain) Hiner, Salina, KS., brother-in-law Joe (Laurie) Goetz, Hoyt, KS., brother-in-law Ernie (Michelle) Goetz, Minneapolis, KS., and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 10:00- 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 19, 2019, at Baalmann Mortuary in Oakley, KS.
