Obituary for Dori Schindler Wageman

Delores Joan "Dori" Wageman 58, of Saint Joseph, MO passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2011 in a Saint Joseph, MO health care center.
She was born September 23, 1953 in Hays, KS, daughter of Shirley and Abe Schindler. She graduated as the Valedictorian of her class from Stockton High School 1971 and the Brown-Mackie School of Business.
Dori was extremely well organized and went on to successfully complete the National association of Legal Assistants examination and received her certification as a certified legal assistant.
She married Joe Wageman on May 22, 1993 in Salina, Kansas. She worked at the National Bank of America & was the legal secretary for Clark-Mize-Linville Chartered attorney at law in Salina Kansas, she was the Schwans Sales Divisional secretary for 5 years in Lancaster PA, and most recently worked at Citi Bank.
She enjoyed walking with her husband, reading books, cooking, and collecting cook books. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband to Hawaii, Alaska, and the Grand Canyon. She was a member of the St. James Catholic Church. Dori was preceded in death by father, Abe Schindler.
Survivors include husband, Joe Wageman of the home, mother, Shirley Breeden of Stockton, KS, step-father, Kenneth Breeden of Stockton, KS, 4 step-daughters, Michaela Schropp of Eugene, OR, Harmony Wageman of Phoenix, AZ, Jade Wageman-Weis and husband Tab of Eugene, OR, and Jasmin Wageman of Manhattan, KS, a brother, Steve Schindler of Topeka, KS, 2 step-brothers, John Breeden of Lake Ozark, MO, and Scott Breeden of Eldon, MO, 2 step-sisters, Rebecca Rhea of Colby, KS, and Leona Breeden of Hays, KS, 1 granddaughter McKenzie, and 2 grandsons, Easton, and Emery, and a grandchild on the way, 1 niece, 1 nephew, and 6 great nieces and nephews.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 30, 2011 at 11:00 at the St. James Catholic Church, Father Vincent Rogers Celebrant. The Rosary will be recited at 7:30 PM Thursday, at the Rupp Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 on Thursday at the Rupp Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. Saturday and from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Sunday at the Smith-Moore-Overlease Funeral Home in Stockton. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 2, 2011 at the Stockton Cemetery, with Father Galen Long as Celebrant. Memorials are requested to the Susan Koman Center for Breast Cancer or to Kendallwood Hospice or to masses and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
